Get Rid of Voids in Autocad Designs With a Drop Test Analysis
There are lots of different things that can be analyzed in an accurate and thorough way, and the most critical one would probably be what should be done to remove “hole” and imperfections in a design. The processes that can be used for this can vary from software programs to print-on-demand.

Solidworks, a simple design software program for example, has a feature that allows users to export their entire drawing and save it as a .STL file. Another great tool that can be used for a drop test analysis is what’s known as a cross-cut guide. This enables the designer to plot a box or rectangle over the whole surface of the drawing and mark the spot where the designs overlap. Using a cross-cut in Solidworks Help Online is a little bit easier. In order to use it, click on the “Guides” icon in the toolbar, and then select “Cross-cut Options”. This will show you a series of different shapes for you to choose from.
In this case, the best choice would be the “Color” shape. The new cross-cut box will have colors and outlines included in the outline, and the parts of the drawing will only have solid black. Another great method that can be used in Solidworks to determine if a design is good enough to be sold is to locate it in the file menu. You can change the style to a more “presentable” version by clicking on the “Edit” button at the top left of the editing box.
Once this is done, you can save the design or copy and paste it onto a printable version of the drawing, for example, “Solidworks CS6”. You can then use the “Add To File” button, which is located at the top right corner of the screen, to save it as a “.STL” file.
Just like any other graphics editing tool, Solidworks also has a “templates” menu and all of the designs that you’ve ever made can be found here. This feature also works for giving yourself a quick and easy reference for your designs. It’ll allow you to preview how your designs will look before sending them to the manufacturer, and if they are not up to par, then you can easily back it up and resubmit the design.
If you were using Solidworks to create your 3D model, you would find many other great ways to run a drop-test analysis. You could print out your model and then have a friend or family member that is a draftsman print it out, for example. They’d then use a clear, translucent plastic material and drop it on the surface, whereupon you could take it apart and examine it.
